When Danitom Development, Inc. began in 1992, co-owners Tom Critelli and Mike Guerra formed a plan: offer affordable homes to the entry-level market without compromising quality. Developing business plans and detailing budgets comes naturally to Tom and Mike, both Villanova University graduates with a CPA and an MBA, respectively. "Our background in finance has helped us enormously in all aspects of the business: land acquisition, contract discussions, and our interaction with banks, realtors, attorneys, and customers,"
Mike believes. The result of their solid business planning? Ranch homes in the range of 1,368 to 1,726 square feet of space, and colonial designs in a 1,290 to
3,000 square foot range. The average selling price for a Danitom home is approximately $300,000 - ideal for the first time buyer in New Jersey.
Although not typically a "custom home" builder, Danitom offers "semi-custom" homes. Entry-level housing does not have to mean dull, boxy homes. Danitom includes special touches, such as extra windows, decorative molding, brass lighting, porches and steps to add to the uniqueness of each home. Buyers also have their choice of roofing, siding, and shutter colors; as well as cabinet and countertop colors, and linoleum and carpet. Many extras are available: outside decks, fireplaces, skylights, alarm systems and hardwood flooring, to name a few.

As members of both the Shore Builders Association and Builders League of South Jersey, Danitom has access to quality subcontractors for the various trades.
Although Danitom has grown since its beginning in 1992, growth will not affect their commitment to quality. New Jersey requires a 10-year warranty on new homes. Pre-title inspections are conducted with a representative prior to settlement. Recently Danitom has been awarded Quality Builders Warranty's Award for Excellence in Customer Service, which is only given to 10% of all builders in their program.
Danitom builds homes in Burlington and Ocean counties in New Jersey. Depending on location, lot sizes can range from 8,000 square feet to 1.5+ acres.
